Dr. Srinathan founded iSBERGDATA in 2019 to address practical challenges in healthcare information, beginning with the need to better monitor outcomes after surgery.

Care, research and professional standards
Dr. Srinathan's clinical career includes thoracic surgical practice at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg and academic work at the University of Manitoba. His leadership experience includes serving as Section Head and Provincial Specialty Lead for Thoracic Surgery.
He served as Research Director for the university's Section of Thoracic Surgery from 2010 to 2021. From 2016 to 2023, he chaired the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada's Specialty Committee in Thoracic Surgery, contributing to national work on specialist education and professional standards.
Evidence to inform clinical decisions
Dr. Srinathan holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from McMaster University.
His research includes postoperative complications, perioperative risk and the methods used to evaluate clinical evidence. He has contributed to international research programmes including VISION, POISE and COP-AF, and to Canadian Cardiovascular Society guidelines on perioperative cardiac risk assessment and management.
His educational work includes teaching evidence-based medicine and contributing book chapters on randomized trials, the GRADE approach and clinical decision analysis.

Dr. Srinathan's experience includes involvement in the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer's synoptic reporting project, which supports structured documentation of surgical care.
